Da’i, daiyah, and religious counselors play a key role in accelerating the increase of the sharia economic literacy index (eksyar) among the community.
This is due to their extensive mass outreach and the strategic functions of da’i, daiyah, and religious counselors in community development through sharia economic preaching. This is further strengthened by the strong trust that the community has in da’i, daiyah, and religious counselors, including scholars.
To support the roles of da’i, daiyah, and religious counselors in expanding eksyar literacy through the delivery of eksyar preaching, Bank Indonesia collaborates with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Sharia Economic National Council (DSN MUI), BAZNAS, the Indonesian Waqf Agency (BWI), IKADI, and FKMT to implement a Training of Trainers (ToT) program for da’i, daiyah, and religious counselors throughout 2024. This activity is expected to encourage eksyar literacy for the advancement and blessings of the economy of the community, nation, and state.
